The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston is dedicated to enhancing educational and economic opportunities for our black boys and young black men in grades 6-12 through mentorship and community service. Our mission is to empower and uplift young black men by providing them with the support, guidance, and resources they need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
Our group mentoring program connects young men with mentors and peers who challenge, support, and inspire their growth. In a cohort-based setting, students gain guidance in education, career development, economic literacy, health and wellness, and leadership-- building networks and confidence that equip them to succeed in school, work, and life.

How to Participate:
Complete your registration for the 2026-27 program year by clicking the register button above. Registering ensures you receive important updates, event information, and communications throughout the year.
Once you’ve registered for the program, you’ll receive an RSVP invitation about a month before each event. Please reserve your spot in advance — it helps us plan well and make sure we have accurate headcounts. Each invitation will let you know if breakfast is provided.
Cost: Free
When: We typically meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM (refer to individual events for specific times).
Format: We follow a group mentoring model. Each Saturday covers various topics key to the development of young men. Programs are focused around the 4 pillars of 100 Black Men of America: Mentoring, Economic Empowerment, Education, and Health and Wellness.
Appropriate Dress: Most Saturdays will be casual to business casual. Students should wear:
- 100 Black Men polo shirt (or any polo if you have not yet received)
- Jeans or slacks
- Clean gym shoes or sneakers
Students should arrive neat, well-groomed, and ready to participate. We will communicate in advance when an event requires different attire (e.g., outdoor activities).
Activities/Topics: We kick off the year with a Community Day/Kick Off and end the year with Cookout/End of Year Celebration.
