Description
Must commit to full week:
This no cost camp exposes campers entering grades 4-6 to robotics with block-based coding software, building robots, mechanics and problem solving. It will help them better understand science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, (STEM) concepts. Campers will experience project-based learning, hands-on activities, leadership skills, communication, and teamwork in a postive and fun environment. This summer camp will be held at Housatonic Community College and is five days in length and involves coding lessons, solving missions, designing an innovation project, team experiences, and fun! Students will be taught by our dedicated seasoned staff as well as our College and High School STEM Mentors. Students will be invited to join one of our Fall FIRST Lego League Teams and participate in the New England FIRST Robotics Competition. Our Fall program runs September to December and meets every Saturday 10am to 2pm.
