Description
In this fun and engaging class, students will review how each piece moves, master the basic rules of the game, and become comfortable using chess notation with the coordinates on the chess board.
Beyond the basics, students will begin to think like real chess players. They will learn how to create a plan, make purposeful moves, and understand the 3 stages of a chess game. Through interactive lessons on a demonstration chess board and guided play, we focus on building confidence, critical thinking, and a solid strategic foundation.
This class is perfect for beginners or students with limited experience who are ready to grow their skills before moving on to more advanced chess classes.
