Spark Creative Art Studio (Grades K - 6)

Description

This is not your typical art class. At Spark, students step into a dynamic creative studio where ideas come to life through drawing, painting, and mixed media projects designed to build real artistic skill and confidence.

Each session introduces students to new techniques, materials, and artistic concepts—while giving them the freedom to explore their own voice and imagination. Projects ranging from  fundamentals of shading through pencil drawing, create impressionist-style masterpieces inspired by Van Gogh using pastels, and even design and build their own Pixar-style character using clay.

Various Projects are guided step-by-step so every child experiences success, while still leaving room for individuality and creative risk-taking. Along the way, students develop focus, creative problem-solving, and the ability to bring an idea from concept to completion.

By the end of the semester, your child won’t just have a collection of artwork—they’ll have a portfolio of pieces they’re proud of and a stronger sense of themselves as an artist.

Led by Sebastian (Founder of Spark) and a Spark Teaching Artist, this program is a high-energy, skill-building art experience that students can return to again and again, with new projects and evolving creative challenges  that hone their skills and confidence.
