Meet an Astronaut!!
What would it be like to spend five days in outer space? Come find out when NASA astronaut Terry Hart comes to Oxford. Terry Hart was one of five astronauts on one of the early Space Shuttles. His crew’s mission was to link the Space Shuttle with a satellite already in space. How do you prepare for such a space journey? What is it like to experience liftoff? How do you eat and perform other daily tasks in space? What does weightlessness feel like? Come hear first-hand the experience of a real astronaut who will answer your questions and more!
BAAM is excited to offer transportation to the upcoming astronaut event at the Oxford Community Center! We will depart directly from Easton Elementary School after dismissal and return to BAAM by 5:30 PM for pickup. Since van capacity is limited to 15 students, please register early to secure your spot.
