Description
This summer activity will focus on the science of how we taste. Students will have the opportunity to try and describe various tastes to learn the chemistry of why these differences are present. Students will construct explanations and design investigations in order to explain the chemistry of taste!
Students will also collaborate with the Garden Camp to help grow ingredients for their experiments. They will help maintain the garden and use the produce while learning about seasonal variations of growing conditions and crop selection. The course offers overlapping garden, environmental, and culinary curriculums.
