You’re Invited to Be a She’s A Boss Volunteer!
Innovation Labs: Experiment. Explore. Excel.
Bloom Upstate is excited to invite local women leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and STEM/STEAM professionalsto participate in She’s A Boss 2026, a dynamic, hands-on empowerment experience for girls.
Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (set up begins at 10:00am, The event will start promptly at 11:00am)
Location: USC Upstate University Readiness Center
Focus: STEM/STEAM + Creative Innovation
Theme: Petals of Possibilities
What is She’s A Boss?
She’s A Boss is Bloom Upstate’s annual signature event designed to expose girls to real-world careers, creativity, and innovation through interactive learning. This year’s event will feature Innovation Labs where girls can experiment, explore, and excel across STEM, arts, entrepreneurship, and life skills—aligned with Bloom Upstate’s Five Petals of Positive Youth Development.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking Bosses to host interactive, hands-on activity tables where girls can do, create, build, test, or explore. This is not a vendor fair—it’s an experience.
Examples include (but are not limited to):
- STEM experiments or demonstrations
- Engineering or design challenges
- Coding, robotics, or tech-based activities
- Art, fashion, beauty science (perfume-making, wig installs, product formulation)
- Crime scene / “Who Done It” labs
- Mini escape rooms or problem-solving challenges
- DNA extraction or science simulations
- Entrepreneurship or product-building stations
What You Can Bring
- A fun, age-appropriate interactive activity (girls must actively participate)
- Swag, giveaways, or branded items (optional but encouraged!)
- Visuals, props, or tools that showcase your work
- Your story—how you became a Boss
