Description

The BON In-School Support Program empowers students and supports school staff by creating a culture of mutual respect and growth through evidence-based practices. This program places trained BON staff on-site during the school day to work with the most hard-to-reach students, helping them navigate challenges, develop leadership skills, and build positive relationships. Through weekly group sessions and one-on-one mentorship, students engage in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), goal-setting, and positive psychology, while also benefiting from trauma-informed care and cognitive behavioral approaches. Restorative justice practices, such as peace circles, promote understanding and resolve conflicts, contributing to a calmer and more focused school environment. BON works hand-in-hand with schools to connect students with critical resources, including case management and job opportunities, ensuring holistic support for their personal and academic growth. By empowering students and strengthening schools, the BON In-School Support Program creates a pathway to success built on collaboration, education, and leadership development.
