Bridges Virtual Parent Workshop: Leveraging Afterschool for Students’ Success
📅 Thursday, March 19, 2026 | 🕡 6:00–7:00 PM
Join us for a Virtual Parent Workshop focused on how afterschool time can be used intentionally to support students’ academic growth and overall success. We’ll share practical strategies families can use to strengthen learning at home, including the powerful impact of daily reading, which can significantly improve comprehension, test scores, and academic performance.
We’ll also highlight how Bridges supports students through timed reading for fluency, supervised reading minutes, progress updates, and assistance with vocabulary, spelling, and test preparation.
Our special guest, Ty Lewis of Jordan Lewis Consulting, brings over 20 years of experience, specializing in reading from phonics and fluency to comprehension and speech. A former special education teacher, she now provides private reading tutorials, testing, and special education advocacy.
Join us for valuable insights and practical tools to help your child make the most of their afterschool learning time.
