Spring Focus: Beauty & Brains Academy – Fashion Design Edition
Our Spring Session balances Social-Emotional Learning on Tuesdays with hands-on STEAM, career exploration, and creative learning on Thursdays through our Beauty & Brains Academy.
This season, our Thursdays will spotlight Fashion Design & Creative Expression, where students will explore streetwear culture, design fundamentals, and the business of fashion. Butterflies will build confidence, creativity, and real-world skills while connecting with mentors and advisors in a supportive virtual environment.

🧠 Tuesdays – Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Students develop emotional awareness, communication skills, resilience, and self-confidence.
🎨 Thursdays – Fashion Design Lab (Beauty & Brains Academy)
Led by Mr. Testimony, Streetwear Fashion Designer, with guest fashion designers sharing real-world insights into:
- Fashion design basics
- Streetwear culture & branding
- Creative expression & identity
- Career pathways in fashion
- Turning ideas into wearable art

Required Apps for Fashion Design Cohort
To fully participate in our digital design labs, students will need access to:
✔️ Adobe Illustrator – for digital fashion design & graphics
✔️ Canva – for mood boards, branding, and presentations
✔️ Krita – for sketching and digital illustration
(We will provide guidance on setup and basic use.)
