General Responsibilities for Youth Employees and Interns

Sunday through Wednesday - Subject to change

Ability to work other times as needed by mutual agreement

Arts for Everett, Inc. is a nonprofit arts organization located in Everett that offers arts opportunities to all of Everett’s residents and our neighbors regardless of ability to pay. The Founder/Director is a practicing artist who shows her work in Boston and nationally.

Art Lab Everett is our signature location. At the lab we offer workshops, time for self-directed work, and a monthly open house with a featured artist. We are open to children, teens, adults and families. In addition, we provide arts programming in other settings as requested.

This youth employee/intern position(s) is geared towards young people passionate about artmaking who might also be looking for either training or teaching experience. We welcome creative, out of the box thinking, flexibility as well as attention to detail.

Listening Works Youth Arts Apprenticeship - 10 hours a week

Are you passionate about artmaking and Social Justice? Art Lab is looking for individuals who are interested in making personally relevant public art. Last summer we began a program that allowed our youth employees to spend part of their time creating public art. The apprenticeship is 10 hours a week and you are expected to be present for all of those hours. You will participate in artmaking, critique, and a very occasional field trip.
