Description

Position Summary

Students assist the school’s custodial staff with general cleaning, light maintenance, and setting up or rearranging furniture and equipment within the building. This role helps keep the school safe, clean, and organized for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist custodians with light cleaning tasks, such as wiping surfaces, sweeping, or emptying trash.
• Help move and set up tables, chairs, and other furniture for school events or classroom needs.
• Support in organizing storage areas and returning equipment to proper locations.
• Follow safety procedures when using cleaning supplies or moving items.
• Work respectfully with staff, teachers, and other students.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to custodians or supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy objects (generally up to 40 lbs).
• Dependable, responsible, and able to follow directions.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
