POSITION SUMMARY: The Everett Public School District is excited to offer paid internship opportunities for High School students to support our athletic and enrichment programming this summer at sports camps. Students will receive training in child development, stretching and flexibility, and First Aid/CPR and will serve as role models and peer leaders for elementary school students in EPS summer programs. Plus 10 hours of pre-program orientation in June TBD. Students may apply to support more than one camp.

NUMBER OF OPENINGS:  10

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Serve as a leader and role model for younger students

•Assist with set up, clean up, and facilitation of programmatic activities

•Help lead and plan athletic activities for students

•Provide supervision and support for students athletic and social-emotional needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current EPS student age 16+

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Multilingual capacity

• Experience working with children - babysitting, camp, church youth group or other after school program experience

• Strong preference for students in EHS Child Development career pathway

WORKING TIMES:

●       Football Camp: week of 7/22/24 at Everett Stadium

●       Boys Basketball Camp: week of 8/5/24 at EHS

●       Soccer Camp: week of 7/8/24 at River green

●       Volleyball Camp: week of 7/15/24 at EHS

●       Softball Camp: week of 7/8/24 at Glendale       

●       Girls Basketball: week of 7/22/24 at EHS

●       Tennis: week of 7/15/24 at Rossetti Park
