Organization Overview

IFSI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering immigrant communities through

education, public benefit, advocacy, and support services. Our mission is to facilitate the

successful integration of immigrants into society while preserving their integrity, and the richness of

their cultural heritage.

Position Summary

The youth will assist in delivering programs and services aimed at supporting immigrants,

gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, and developing skills in community

engagement and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Assistance

• Support the planning and execution of educational workshops.

• Assist in the preparation of materials and logistics for program activities.

Client Interaction:

 Welcome clients and guide them accordingly.

Engage with clients to provide information about available services and resources.

 Complete intake processes by registering clients in Airtable.

 Assist clients in completing forms and applications as needed.

 Carry out additional duties as assigned.



Administrative Support:

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and program participation.

• Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.

• Ensure the confidentiality of all client files and information

Qualifications

Education:

• High school student or recent graduate.


Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,).

• Fluency in Creole is a plus.


Attributes:

• Demonstrated interest in social services, community work, or related fields.

• Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to serving immigrant communities.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.

We will meet from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, & Sat starting on 7/1/2025 and ending on 8/30/2025

We will not meet on the following dates: 7/4/2025
