About La Comunidad, Inc.

La Comunidad, Inc. (LCI) is a grassroots, community-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting the Latinx immigrant community in Everett and surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide development through education, organizing, and essential social services. We are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive community through direct action, advocacy, and support.


Position Overview

La Comunidad, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Community Organizing team. This position will focus on a combination of office administration and social media marketing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a culturally diverse, non-profit office environment and will have a deep commitment to our mission of serving the Latinx community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for both community engagement and creative communication!


Key Responsibilities


Office Administration Development

  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Utilize fluent Spanish-English language skills for written, oral, and visual communication.
  • Office Organization: Assist in re-designing and modernizing office spaces, organizing files, and updating community bulletin boards to reflect relevant and timely information.
  • Event Coordination: Support event logistics by setting up tables, chairs, and food, and assisting event coordinators with social gatherings and workshops.
  • General Office Support: Provide administrative assistance to staff and faculty as needed, including managing office supplies, keeping spaces stocked, and ensuring the office runs smoothly.
  • Space Management: Help organize seminar rooms and teaching labs for optimal use.


Social Media Management & Marketing

  • Platform Management: Use basic knowledge of Instagram and Facebook to manage posts, interact with the community, and keep the organization’s social media channels active.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and visually appealing graphics for social media using Canva, ensuring they align with La Comunidad’s core values and mission.
  • Bilingual Content: Write social media captions and posts in both Spanish and English, ensuring content resonates with a bilingual audience.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all platforms.
  • Basic Graphic Design: Use graphic design skills to produce high-quality, shareable content that promotes community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Basic knowledge and experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) for outreach and communication.
  • Proficiency with Canva or other design tools is highly preferred.
  • Experience in office administration and organization is a plus.
  • Basic graphic design skills or willingness to learn.
  • Passion for working with the Latinx community and commitment to La Comunidad, Inc.’s mission.

Ends: Saturday, August 30, 2025

We will meet from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, & Fri starting on 7/1/2025 and ending on 8/30/2025

We will not meet on the following dates: 7/4/2025
