About MPCU: A local brand serving customers since 1940, Members Plus Credit Union's mission has always been to provide quality, secure financial services to members of the community. You will be trained as a teller, and responsibilities will include performing transactions, answering member inquiries, and processing payments.


Position Summary:

As an intern at Members Plus Credit Union, you will assist various departments within the bank, gaining exposure to key functions such as customer service, financial analysis, risk management, and banking operations. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, developing critical skills that will help you in your career journey within the financial services industry.


Duties & Responsibilities: 


  • Assist in answering customer inquiries, both in-person and via phone/email.
  • Assist in processing basic transactions (deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries).
  • Help clients with the completion of forms, applications, or other banking-related tasks.
  • Organize, file, and maintain banking documents and records.
  • Assist with day-to-day office operations and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Prepare reports or presentations as needed for departmental meetings or client communications.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies.
  • Assist in audits and ensure the smooth functioning of financial systems.
  • Support the team in monitoring regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.
  • Help with the preparation and review of compliance documentation.
  • Participate in business development activities such as market research, customer surveys, and new product promotions.


Qualification:


  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and collaborate with teams.

We will meet from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, & Sat starting on 3/17/2026 and ending on 4/17/2026
