INNOVATORS IN ACTION
Welcome to the "Innovators In Action" program. The Derfelt Team is excited to present this program to our young people which will help enrich our community.
For the "Innovators In Action" program, we will provide snacks and year-round workshops, activities and events. There will be (2) designated staff members per age group to facilitate the workshops/classes. We will meet weekly on Tuesdays, from 4pm to 6pm at the Derfelt Strong Future Center. This program is designed for both Middle Schoolers and High School students.
- Middle School students - the topics will consist of personal and character development.
- High School students - they will focus on personal and professional development.
A few topics that we will cover are: Computer Skills, Resume Building, Interviewing Skills, JobTimex, Financial Literacy, Communication Skills, just to name a few.
The goal would be to also assist them with gaining employment or internships but not guaranteed. We will also seek opportunities that allow the youth to receive certifications.
