All programs will run from 3:45-5:45PM. All scholars must be picked up from the gym or the south building no later than 6PM! Families MUST come inside to sign scholars out daily!

Description
Book Club
Scholars will engage in creating book club expectations and norms. Scholars will be engage in scholar led discourse around the text being read at the time. We will focus on metacognition, deep dives, vocabulary, text features, text structures, authors purpose and/or claim. Scholars will have interactive reading journals and graphic organizers to assist in comprehension of texts. Books will be chosen based on scholar interest, ability, and also a focus on instructional levels. Journals will provide scholars with time to put their thoughts and understanding on paper which will assist in increase writing ability and fluency.
