Reading Jaguars UFLI Program
All programs will run from 3:45-5:45PM. All scholars must be picked up from the gym or the south building no later than 6PM! Families MUST come inside to sign scholars out daily!

Description
Reading is a lifelong skill that we develop throughout our lives, and beginning this journey as early as possible offers substantial benefits for ongoing success in reading. Therefore, as parents and caregivers, your involvement is crucial in assisting your child in becoming a fluent reader who can effectively use their reading abilities in various aspects of life. By 3rd grade, children are expected to be independent readers, which means they should be capable of reading independently. My aim is to support your child in improving their reading skills. I will be utilizing a reading program called UFLI Foundations. UFLI Foundations is an explicit and systematic program that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence.
The reading after-school program will take place from October 14, 2025 – May 28, 2026, on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Students must be picked up no later than 6:00 PM in the gymnasium.
