🌟 Saturday Little Learners Literacy Program

Our Saturday Little Learners Literacy Program is an engaging, hands-on learning experience designed specifically for Pre-K children. Through interactive literacy activities, learning centers, movement, and play-based instruction, children build the early reading skills they need to enter Kindergarten confident and ready to learn.

📚 What Will Children Practice?

Children will participate in small-group and center-based activities focused on:

• 🔤 Letter Identification – Recognizing and naming uppercase and lowercase letters.
• 👂 Letter Sounds in Isolation – Learning and practicing the sounds individual letters represent.
• 🎯 Interactive Literacy Centers – Hands-on activities that allow children to practice skills through games, manipulatives, matching activities, puzzles, and other engaging tasks.
• 🗣️ Oral Language & Vocabulary – Building vocabulary and developing the language skills needed for early reading success.
• ✋ Fine-Motor Literacy Activities – Tracing, writing, letter formation, and hands-on activities that strengthen early writing skills.
• 🎵 Songs, Rhymes & Movement – Using music, rhythm, and movement to reinforce letters, sounds, and foundational literacy concepts.
• 📖 Interactive Read-Alouds – Building comprehension, listening skills, vocabulary, and a love of books.

☕ Learning Through Centers

Each Saturday, children rotate through purposeful literacy centers that provide opportunities to learn, practice, and demonstrate their skills. Centers are designed to keep young learners actively engaged while providing opportunities for both independent practice and teacher-supported learning.

Our goal is simple: make literacy fun, interactive, and meaningful while building the foundational skills children need to become successful readers.
