Description

Activity Details: Upper Elementary – Positive Choices With Actions (Grades 4–6)

Positive Choices With Actions for grades 4–6 is a hands-on, engaging program designed to help upper-elementary youth build strong social-emotional skills, positive decision-making habits, and confidence during a critical stage of development.

Participants will take part in interactive lessons that focus on emotional awareness, conflict resolution, communication, teamwork, and accountability, while also exploring creative and STEAM-based activities that make learning fun and relatable. Through guided discussions, group projects, and real-life scenarios, youth learn how their choices impact themselves, their peers, and their community.

The program provides a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environment where students are encouraged to express themselves, practice problem-solving skills, and develop healthy coping strategies. Activities are age-appropriate and designed to strengthen leadership skills, build self-esteem, and reinforce respect for others.

Youth will gain:

  • Stronger decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Improved communication and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Increased self-confidence and emotional regulation
  • Positive peer relationships and teamwork experience
  • Exposure to creative and STEAM-inspired learning opportunities

This program supports youth during the transition into adolescence by helping them develop the tools they need to make positive choices with real actions, both in and out of the classroom.
