Harmony Project
Room 109
The Eliot Arts percussion class includes drumline, also known as marching percussion, as wellas percussion ensembles, concert percussion and mallet training. Students will gain andrum, timpani, and mallet instruments - with regard to their pedagogy and performance practices. Learning to read and write percussion music is a focus. During the first semester,marching and drumline techniques and rehearsals will be a focus in preparation for several parades and school spirit events. In the second semester, our focus will turn to percussion ensemble pieces where world percussion instruments will be explored, and how to support the concert band at performances in classical and modern genres.
