Description

Mrs. Gueta and Mrs. Wixo, 1st grade teachers, will be providing ELA and Math instruction in small group settings for students to increase and improve outcomes. This class is for students who have been recommended for extra support. Teachers will be using district adopted curriculum and supplemental resources to teach Math and English Language Arts and work with students to achieve their goals.

Parents are encouraged to read and do hands on math activities with students for 30 -60 minutes daily.  Also talking and asking students about their day helps them to recall information in a fun and engaging way to help students to apply the information learned in school in their daily lives.

Remind your child to report at the MPR at the end of school on days he/she attends Intervention Classes. Please communicate with your child’s teacher so that he/she can remind your child as well.

Important Information:

Students are provided supper at 2:30 PM.

Parents are required to Check Out children at the Front Door by using the QR Code and PIN Number at 4:00 PM if they are registered ONLY for this class. Students will NOT be allowed to go to the vehicles for safety reasons.

Other Important Information:

  • This class is taught by an ERE Teacher and qualifies for Attendance Recovery.  When your child attends 4 days (4 hours) qualifies for an Excused Absence to be converted to an Excused Absence. Attendance will be banked to be utilized for furniture absences.
  • This class limit is only 8-10 students and acceptance is on a first come first serve basis. The small class size is designed for extra support and help during class time for students who need extra help on skills.
  • If your child is absent for 2 days, he/she will be dropped and students from the waiting list will be added.
  • ELOP/BTC Attendance and behavior policies and procedures will be enforced.
  • This class will be promoted to ALL students registered in ELOP/BTC and ALL students attending ERE meeting the registration criteria.
