About Our Trade Program
Our Trade Program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of construction and design through hands-on learning experiences, while preparing them for success in any career path they choose.
Classes run 12–16 weeks, depending on the course focus.
Throughout the program, students gain practical skills, industry awareness, and confidence by working directly with tools, materials, and real-world applications.
Program Curriculum
Construction 101 (10–16 weeks)
Students will learn:
- What skilled trades are and potential career earnings
- Construction site safety procedures and tool safety
- Identification and proper use of basic hand and power tools
- Material selection and project planning
- Measuring and cutting materials accurately
- Building a project from scratch
- Applying creativity to design and create functional products
Electrical 101 (6–8 weeks)
Students will learn:
- What electricity is and how it works
- Electrical safety practices
- Electrical tool identification and usage
- Basic wiring of plugs, outlets, and light fixtures
- Calculating watts, amps, and volts
- Troubleshooting common electrical connection issues
Plumbing 101 (6–8 weeks)
Students will learn:
- What plumbing is and how residential systems function
- Plumbing safety procedures
- Plumbing tool identification and usage
- Basic residential plumbing connections
- Measuring pipes based on application and use
- And much more!
Class Size & Scheduling
To ensure safety and quality instruction, classes are limited to 12 students per session.
