Description
Volunteers Opportunities/ Expectations:
1 Mentors: To commit to a minimum of 10 weeks to mentor and disciple students one-on-one.
2 Program Assistance: To assist the program leaders with teaching and developing the students in their skill set.
3 Center Security: To walk the center during the duration of the program and ensure the safety and accountability of the students attending.
4 Check-In/ Check-Out: To welcome students and volunteers to the center, ensuring everyone who enters the center checks in and everyone who leaves the center checks out.
ABOUT STAR PLAYERS:
Star players is our Program Night for grades 6th-12th. Once signed up for one of our 8 week programs, students will get hands on learning to grow in their skill set.
Mentorship
The final and most important part of Star Players is mentorship. Students will meet with mentors at the end of every program night to discuss their physical, mental & spiritual well being, as well as, set weekly goals and put in place ways that their mentors can assist them in life.
Our goal for Mentorship is for the youth in our community to have a relationship with Jesus and to equip the youth to use their gifts for good and to see them grow as young men and women who are prepared for whatever the future may hold.
