Description
Attendance Recovery Class.
Discover the rhythimic world of percussion drumming. Class is led by Mr. Caldwell.Drumline (Grades 6–8)
Drumline is a high-energy class where students learn rhythm, percussion, and teamwork
under the guidance of the band teacher. Students build musicianship through drumming
techniques, notation reading, and ensemble performances.
The class supports key academic skills by reinforcing math (patterns, timing, fractions) and
science concepts (sound waves and vibration).
Standards Alignment (CA Arts Standards – Music Grades 6–8):
• MU:Pr4.2.6–8 – Demonstrate understanding of notation and expressive qualities.
• MU:Pr5.1.6–8 – Rehearse and refine music with technical accuracy.
• MU:Cr1.1.6–8 – Generate rhythmic ideas within given parameters.
• MU:Cn10.0.6–8 – Connect musical ideas to personal and cultural experiences.
Students will develop confidence, discipline, and collaboration while performing rhythmic
pieces that showcase creativity and school spirit.
