Jazz Band

Description

Jazz Band led by Mr. Caldwell. Prior instrument experience needed.rhythm, and ensemble playing. Under the direction of the band teacher, students learn

swing, blues, and contemporary styles while developing musical technique, timing, and

expression. Students gain confidence through practice, collaboration, and public

performances that celebrate creativity and school spirit.

Academic Connections:

This course reinforces music literacy, mathematical reasoning (patterns, rhythm, timing),

and cultural understanding through the history and evolution of jazz.
