3rd Grade ELA Intervention

`

Grade: 3rd

Description

Our Third Grade ELA Reading Intervention is designed to provide focused support for students who need extra help in developing strong reading and comprehension skills. Led by credentialed teachers, this small-group program targets the specific areas identified through schoolwide assessments to ensure students receive the support they need to grow.

Program Focus Areas:

  • Vocabulary Development – expanding academic and content-area vocabulary.
  • Fluency Practice – improving accuracy, pacing, and expression with increasingly complex texts.
  • Comprehension Strategies – strengthening skills such as summarizing, identifying main ideas and details, making inferences, and drawing conclusions.
  • Written Response to Reading – practicing clear and organized answers to text-based questions.

Through interactive lessons, guided reading, and hands-on practice, students will build confidence and independence as readers. The goal of this intervention is to close learning gaps, support grade-level achievement, and help students become stronger, more capable readers prepared for future academic success.
