Description
The Kindergarten ELA Intervention Class through the Beyond the Classroom program provides targeted small-group support to help our youngest learners build strong early literacy foundations and prepare for first grade. Students will strengthen essential skills such as letter recognition and sounds, phonemic awareness, beginning decoding (CVC words), sight word recognition, vocabulary, and early writing. Through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, this class is designed to fill learning gaps while building confidence, independence, and a love for reading. This class is led by a credentialed HBE teacher.
La Clase de Intervención de ELA para Kindergarten a través del programa Beyond the Classroom brinda apoyo específico en grupos pequeños para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes más pequeños a desarrollar bases sólidas en lectoescritura y prepararse para el primer grado. Los estudiantes fortalecerán habilidades esenciales como el reconocimiento de letras y sonidos, la conciencia fonémica, la decodificación básica (palabras CVC), el reconocimiento de palabras de uso frecuente, el vocabulario y la escritura inicial. A través de actividades atractivas y apropiadas para su desarrollo, esta clase está diseñada para cerrar brechas de aprendizaje mientras fomenta la confianza, la independencia y el amor por la lectura. Esta clase es dirigida por una maestra acreditada de HBE.

Students not currently enrolled in the Beyond the Classroom Program will have the opportunity to stay after school and will be provided supper at 2:15PM. Students will be escorted to the Kinder ELA Intervention classroom at 2:40PM by the Intervention teacher. This class will be taught by our very own Mrs. Gault, general education teacher.
