ELA Intervention Group 1st Grade (V)

`

Grade: 1st

Description

Our First Grade Reading Intervention provides small-group, targeted instruction to help students build strong early literacy skills. Led by a credentialed teacher, this program focuses on the essential foundations of reading, including:

  • Phonemic Awareness & Phonics – recognizing sounds, letters, and word patterns.
  • Sight Word Recognition – developing automatic recognition of high-frequency words.
  • Fluency Practice – improving accuracy, speed, and expression in reading.
  • Comprehension Strategies – building understanding and confidence with grade-level texts.

Students will engage in interactive lessons, guided reading, and hands-on activities designed to meet them at their current level and move them forward. The goal is to strengthen reading skills, increase confidence, and foster a love for learning.

By participating in the Beyond the Classroom Reading Intervention, first graders receive the support they need to grow as readers and set a strong foundation for future academic success.
