Description
Bucket Drumming (Grades 4-5)
Get ready to make some noise—in the best way! In this high-energy class, students will transform ordinary buckets into powerful percussion instruments. Through fun, hands-on activities, participants will learn rhythm, beat, and coordination while exploring the fundamentals of drumming.
Students will:
- Practice rhythm patterns and group drumming techniques
- Build teamwork, listening, and collaboration skills
- Experiment with tempo, dynamics, and creative expression
- Prepare short performances to share with peers and families
Bucket Drumming is a perfect blend of music and movement that builds confidence, focus, and a love of rhythm. No prior musical experience is required—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!

This class will be led by Mrs. Joy Baker, 5th grade teacher. Students not currently enrolled in the Beyond the Classroom program will enter through the main campus entrance and report directly to Mrs. Baker's classroom (Room 1). Students dismissal time is 3:45PM. Students enrolled in the Beyond the Classroom Program will report to MPR after the Bucket Drumming class to transition into their next activity. Students being picked up at 3:45PM will be dismissed through the main entrance to be picked up by parents.
If your child is not currently enrolled in the Beyond the Classroom, and you would like for them to remain after school from school dismissal (2:19PM) to 3:45PM when the Bucket Drumming class ends, please email me at regina.clausell@menifeeusd.org so that we can ensure adequate staffing and inform nutrition services. . If not, students will need to be picked up at 2:19PM dismissal and return to school at 3:00PM for the Bucket Drumming class.
