Tue • Grades: Pre-K to 1st
Description
This class is specifically designed for the younger student, with a shorter class time (30 min) and a focus on basics. We work on gross- and fine-motor skills, following directions, self-control, balance, agility, & hand-eye coordination. Open to Pre-K, Kindergarteners, and those 1st graders new to the program. Students will graduate to the "big-kids" class when they have demonstrated self-control and readiness for a longer, more intense class. (Students 2nd grade and older should enroll in the Wednesday after-school class, even if this is their first experience in the martial arts.)

We normally have class in the gym. You may drop off your child at the door closest to the gym between 8:15 and 8:30 am. After we begin teaching at 8:30 am, you may need to enter the main door and bring your child to the gym. Please don't use the YMCA's walkie-talkie to gain access if you are coming to karate.
