Description
The Intro Karate class is specifically designed for the younger student, open to Pre-K, Kindergartners, and 1st graders new to the program. We work on gross- and fine-motor skills, following directions, self-control, balance, agility, & hand-eye coordination, all while teaching the basics of karate and self-defense. Students will graduate to the Advanced Karate class when they have demonstrated the self-control and readiness for a longer, more intense class. Students 2nd grade and older should enroll in the after-school Advanced Karate class, even if this is their first experience in the martial arts.

We normally meet on the Stage or in the Gym. You can drop off at door 6 (south side of gym, at the "porch") starting at 8:15 am. If you arrive after 8:30 am when class begins, you may need to enter the main entrance. We will finish in time for students to have breakfast, if they wish, and make it to their classroom before final bell.
