ImPowered Minds is thrilled to announce its partnership with Matthew 14:17 Charters to offer the Ropes-N-Rods program, a unique, Christ-led luxury charter experience designed to teach youth important life skills through the art of fishing. This program provides an unparalleled opportunity for three children and an adult to embark on a fishing adventure that combines boat captain training with the excitement of a memorable fishing trip.

Activities and Skills Taught:

Participants in the Ropes-N-Rods program will engage in a variety of activities designed to teach valuable skills, including:

• Shore Tying at the Dock: Learning the fundamentals of securing a boat safely.
• Gathering and Filling the Bait Well: Understanding how to catch and maintain bait fish.
• Fishing for Targeted Species: Developing strategies for catching specific types of fish.
• Reading Wind and Tide: Mastering navigation with charts and natural elements.
• Navigating Barriers: Safely maneuvering through waters with and without signage.
• Fishing Knots with Rod and Reel: Learning essential knots for effective fishing.
• Baiting the Hook: Techniques for using live, artificial, and cut bait.
• Casting the Rod and Reel: Developing precision and technique in casting.
• Fishing Techniques: Specialized methods for catching targeted species.
• Returning to the Dock: Safe docking and shore tying procedures.
• Cleaning and Packaging Fish: Proper techniques for handling the catch.

Pricing:

The program is all-inclusive, featuring a 26ft vessel and a 4-hour in-shore fishing trip, with pickup from Ruskin.
