This curriculum aims to teach students social-emotional skills through various activities. The curriculum includes training self-management muscles by creating a vision board and setting academic and personal goals, stress management by creating a list of coping skills, relationship building by creating gratitude letters, responsible decision-making by evaluating and reflecting on actions, analyzing situations to determine potential consequences, improving communication skills, accurate self-perception by challenging negative self-talk, and recognizing strengths through the VIA Character Strengths survey. The curriculum emphasizes the importance of building positive relationships, appreciating diversity, and developing self-awareness and self-efficacy. The overall message is that educators can be creative in teaching social-emotional skills to students.

The text and workbook "Just Like Music" outlines a series of activities designed to help students develop various social and emotional skills. These activities include building resilience, self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. Students will engage in hands-on activities, create scenarios, identify lyrics in songs, and participate in service-learning projects to develop these skills.
