Description

This week students will take part in an active and engaging camp that combines gym activities with STEM-based exploration. They will participate in movement games, hands-on challenges, and team activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and cooperation. Students will be encouraged to try new things, work together, and think through challenges in fun and active ways. By the end of the week, they will have explored how movement and STEM connect while building confidence and teamwork skills.


Monday – Get Moving and Get Started (June 1st 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Students will kick off the week with active games and team-building activities. The focus will be on getting comfortable with each other, staying active, and introducing the idea of combining movement with creative thinking and problem-solving.

Tuesday – Build and Create (June 2nd 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Students will focus on hands-on building and creative tasks. They will explore how different materials, designs, and ideas can be used to create simple structures or solutions, with time to test and adjust their work.

Wednesday – Move and Experiment (June 3rd 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Students will take part in active challenges that involve testing ideas through movement. They will experiment with different strategies, see what works, and make changes along the way while staying active and engaged.

Thursday – Team Challenges (June 4th 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Students will work in groups to complete a variety of gym-based and STEM-inspired challenges. They will focus on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving while staying active and working toward shared goals.

Friday – Wrap Up Fun Day (June 5th 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • To end the week, students will participate in a mix of games and challenges that bring everything together. This day will focus on fun, teamwork, and celebrating what they learned and accomplished throughout the week.


Registration Information


We encourage families to register in advance so we can collect emergency contact information and ensure a safe and well-prepared experience for all students.


Priority registration is given to students from:

  • Green Acres
  • Pioneer
  • Beaver Valley


If space is available, students from other schools may also attend.


Eligibility


  • Students currently in grades 1st-5th, including outgoing 5th graders, are welcome to attend.
  • Incoming 1st graders may also attend; additional information will be requested after registration.
  • Participants should be able to independently follow program expectations and participate safely in activities. The program is primarily designed for children ages 5 and older.


Frequently Asked Questions


Can my child bring a friend or sibling?

Yes, as long as each child is registered.

Will snacks be provided?

Yes, a daily snack will be provided. Please list any allergies on the registration form.

Why are two emergency contacts required?

If we cannot reach the primary contact, we will call the emergency contacts in order.

If a child is not picked up within 15 minutes and no contacts can be reached, local authorities may be contacted for assistance.
