Description
What would you build if you could design a whole city? In Cardboard City, students do exactly that — designing their city like real urban planners, then building it from cardboard and recycled materials, one building at a time, with Rebecca. Houses, shops, parks, bridges, whatever the city needs. Then on Friday nights, they rebuild their city all over again in Minecraft — with pizza and friends. Along the way kids learn real design skills: sketching before building, working at scale, solving structural problems, and making decisions as a group. Each six-week session ends with a complete city built entirely by the students.
SCHEDULE: Fridays 4:30–6:30 PM at 113 Liberty Street. Saturday meetings (9:00–10:30 AM) run through October 24 only; Session 2 (Oct 30 – Dec 11) is Fridays only.
DROP-IN DATES: Any Friday (4:30–6:30 PM) from October 30 through December 11, 2026 (no class November 27).
PRICING: $50 per meeting, all materials included. You pay $50 when you register for your first meeting, then $50 for each additional meeting you attend. Small group capped at 10.
WANT THE FULL SESSION? The six-week session is $175 and includes all 6 Friday meetings. Find it under Cardboard City — Fall Session 2. Questions? Email info@newburghcreates.com or call 845-244-6559.
