Description
Designed for curious minds ages 7–14, Junior Coding Lab is the perfect hands-on introduction to coding. Campers will explore foundational concepts like loops, conditionals, and events using Scratch, a beginner-friendly programming language developed by MIT. Throughout the week, students will create their own games, interactive stories, and animated worlds—all while learning how computers think.
Each day blends creativity with logic as campers:
- Build original characters and digital environments
- Use sound, motion, and sensors to bring projects to life
- Collaborate with peers on fun coding challenges
- Present and share their work in daily showcases
No prior experience is needed, and students can expect a fun, engaging environment that sparks both confidence and creativity.
Schedule
- Morning: Focused instruction, collaborative projects, and hands-on coding
- Afternoon: Creative labs for animation, sound design, and advanced storytelling
