Description
Whether you are a LEGO fanatic or just love to see how things work, there is a spot for you in our Spring Explore Club!
This semester, we are focusing on the fundamentals of engineering, simple machines, and teamwork. We provide a fun, supportive environment where younger students can bring their LEGO creations to life with motors and code.
This afterschool club is designed for:
1. Junior Engineers (New Students)
Never used a motor or sensor before? We will start from the beginning! You will:
- Learn how gears, pulleys, and levers work (Simple Machines).
- Build solid LEGO structures that won't break.
- Write your first code to make your LEGO model move and light up.
- Goal: Build confidence and learn to work with a partner.
2. Master Builders (Returning Students)
Ready for a bigger challenge? Take your building skills to the next level! You will:
- Design complex "Team Models" with moving parts.
- Use sensors to make your robot react to motion or tilt.
- Create a "Show Me" poster to explain your ideas.
- Mentor new friends and practice explaining your designs.
