Description
Whether you are a Master Builder or just picking up a motor for the first time, there is a spot for you in our Spring Robotics and FLL Skills Lab!
This semester, we are focusing on skill-building, creativity, and fun. We are taking a break from competition to dive deep into what makes LEGO robots tick.
This is the perfect afterschool club for:
1. New Recruits
Never built a robot before? No problem! This is the perfect time to start. You will:
- Learn the basics of block coding (Scratch).
- Build your first drive-base robot.
- Learn how sensors work (color, distance, and gyro).
- Goal: By June, you’ll be ready to join a competitive team!
2. Veterans
Already finished a season? Don’t let your skills get rusty! Use this time to:
- Master advanced sensors and line-following algorithms.
- Experiment with Python coding (if ready).
- Build custom attachments you didn't have time for during the season.
- Mentor new students and build leadership skills.
LOCATION AND TIME
- WHO: Grades 4-8
- WHERE: Newburgh Creates - 10 Carpenter Ave, Newburgh NY 12550
- TIME: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- COST: $225 per month
