Description
Step into the future of learning with The NextGen Experience! This immersive, week-long camp is designed to give students in grades 2-8 a hands-on introduction to what a meaningful, accelerated education looks like at NextGen Academy.
Each morning begins with our signature Core Skills Block, a two-hour accelerated learning session powered by cutting-edge AI tools, balanced with structured breaks for fun activities like pickup basketball and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate battles! Students will experience focused, efficient academic advancement tailored to their level.

In the afternoons, campers dive into two specialized, hands-on life skills workshops:
- Circuit Breakers: Students step into the role of hardware engineers, building their very own mechanical keyboards from scratch. They will learn to flash QMK firmware, test circuit boards, wire switches, and write code, taking home a functional, high-quality piece of technology they built themselves.
- Let Them Cook: A unique teamwork and communication workshop disguised as cooperative gaming! Using games like Pico Park and PlateUp, students practice shared planning, closed-loop communication, and calm problem-solving under pressure.
Midweek, we break up the routine with a Wednesday Mobile Squad outing, where campers travel off-campus to Main Event Austin for an afternoon of bowling, laser tag, arcade games, and team bonding. The week concludes on Friday with a Parent Showcase from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM, where students will proudly present what they've built and learned.
Note: Participation in The NextGen Experience counts as an official Shadow Day for prospective families and waives the NextGen Academy application fee for Fall 2026! Lunch, snacks, and all necessary technology are provided.
