Description
This 4-week beginner group class gear specifically for adult learners and is an introduction to the fundamentals of piano playing (posture, fingering, piano geography) and basic music theory (rhythm, landmark notes, treble & bass clef staffs, dynamics, etc.). Students also learn about various composers and music genres in a fun and engaging setting.
Books and sheet music are provided.
Attendance: Because group classes build on each other week to week, consistent attendance is essential for your progress and for the group as a whole. Please only sign up if you're able to commit to attending the full 4-week session.
At-Home Practice: Regular practice between classes is just as important as the class itself and makes a big difference in how quickly students progress. Students who need an instrument for home practice may apply for a free piano or keyboard — ask us for details on how to apply at your first day of class.
