About ProjectArt

ProjectArt’s free classes run from September - May. Materials are provided for all students ages 4-18. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative and cultivate a love of learning.

Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. Registration is required in advance, and space is limited.

Student Showcase Workshop

This is a 2 week project starting the week of April 30th and ending with a Student Showcase event Wednesday May 7th 5-6 pm

We’re thrilled to share an upcoming two-part workshop designed to immerse our students in the world of exhibitions and help them take true ownership of their creative work.

Through these sessions, students will deepen their understanding of exhibitions, artist statements, and the curatorial process. Our goal is to spark excitement and anticipation so that, when it's time for their Student Showcase at the West End Library, they’ll appreciate just how meaningful and special the experience is.

Here’s what to expect:

• First week: Students will learn about exhibitions, how to write artist statements, and how to curate their work. They’ll also plan the arrangement of their pieces for an upcoming showcase.
• Second week: A pop-up Student Showcase Reception at the library at the West End Library Wednesday May 7th 5-6pm! Parents and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the students’ achievements as their work is put on display
