About ProjectArt
ProjectArt offers free art classes for students ages 4-18 throughout the school year, from September to May. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative, and cultivate a love of learning.
Materials are provided for all students. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year.
Current Class Project: A Room in a House
A Room in a House is a six-week project going from the week of January 6th through the week of February 10th.
Students will look at and discuss different inside spaces, refencing art history and children’s books. Students will then discuss, brainstorm and draw their dream bedroom. Then, over the next few weeks students will combine different techniques and mediums to turn their into a drawing three-dimensional room.
