About ProjectArt

ProjectArt offers free art classes for students ages 4-18 throughout the school year from September to May. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative, and cultivate a love of learning.

Materials are provided for all students. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year.

Current Class Project: Art For the Earth: Projects to Celebrate Land and Sky

Art For the Earth: Projects to Celebrate Land and Sky is a four-week project going from the week of March 31st through April 27th.

Students will create three short projects that reference the natural world while also considering the Elements of Art. Students will create Tree of Life sculptures using paper towel rolls, learning about form and pattern; positive/negative space prints of birds and sky, referencing cyanotype printmaking; three-dimensional twelve color color wheel stars. Projects align with the new spring season.
