About ProjectArt

ProjectArt offers free art classes for students ages 4-18 throughout the school year from September to May. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative, and cultivate a love of learning.

Materials are provided for all students.

Registering in advance is highly suggested as space is limited. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year if space allows.

Current Class Project: Monarchs and Marigolds

Monarchs and Marigolds is a four week project going from the week of October 21st to November 17th.

In this project students will be introduced to the monarch migration and pollinators via the picture book Hurry and the Monarch. Using the book for inspiration, students will create a marigold background on the color paper of their choosing using oil pastels and then draw and cut out a monarch butterflies to glue to their backgrounds.
