Current Project

Cardboard Story Quilts

This project begins Feb 24 and ends March 20

In this three-week project, students will explore the historical art form of quilting. Students will use cardboard to create squares which will go on a collaborative class story quilt. During this project, students will learn about the role that quilting plays in society and about the different types of quilts that exist. Quilting helps people build a sense of community and tell their stories, and many of the activities during this project will focus on collaboration and building community. This activity will emphasize the theme that each person’s small contribution makes a big difference when everyone’s work is put together.

* We will host a make-up class during Spring Break on April 17th
