Current Project

Optical Illusions

Students will explore the artform of optical illusions. Students will use paper, markers, and

colored pencils to create 2-D optical illusions. This project is inspired by artist: Yayoi Kusama

who creates life size colorful 3D works that are large scale optical illusions. Students will explore

the experience of using art in a way that is playful and fun. This project is designed to expand

students skills as artists and to show them how to use lines and shapes in change the

perspective of their pictures. Students will conclude class with multiple optical illusion art pieces.

This project begins May 13 and ends June 3.

*No class on May 20 and make-up class on June 3.
