Description
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the 2026 Anacostia River Festival will center Founding Mothers—honoring the women whose leadership, creativity, labor, and care have shaped our city, our communities, and the Anacostia River. We’re inviting partners to host hands-on, interactive activations that connect to the theme and/or the core mission of the festival.
Project Create will participate in the Festival with a table and booth. Volunteers are needed to help facilitate with our art activation. We'll be decorating kites and flying them! Ideally, we would like volunteers to help our teaching artist in showing kids and families what to do. Whether you're a student hoping to get community service hours or an organization wanting to give back; I'm certain this will be a great volunteer opportunity!
