Description
The 2nd Grade Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides students with a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that promotes academic success, enrichment, and whole-child development beyond the regular school day. Sierra Vista Elementary partners with ELEVO and Think Together to provide high-quality expanded learning opportunities aligned with ELO-P program expectations and student needs.
Students participate in structured, developmentally appropriate activities that support academic achievement, creativity, physical wellness, and social-emotional growth. Program activities may include:
- Academic enrichment and homework assistance
- Literacy and math support activities
- STEM and hands-on learning experiences
- Arts, creativity, and enrichment projects
- Physical fitness, recreation, and organized sports activities
- Social-emotional learning and relationship-building activities
- Leadership, teamwork, and collaborative learning opportunities
The ELO-P program is intentionally designed to complement the regular instructional day by providing meaningful learning experiences that increase student engagement, participation, attendance, and skill development in a safe and inclusive environment.
Through partnerships with ELEVO and Think Together, students are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop positive peer relationships, and explore new interests through high-quality after-school programming aligned with Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) requirements.
