Description
The 4th Grade Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides students with a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that promotes academic success, enrichment, and whole-child development beyond the regular instructional day. Sierra Vista Elementary partners with ELEVO and Think Together to provide high-quality expanded learning opportunities aligned with ELO-P program requirements and student needs.
Students participate in structured, developmentally appropriate activities that support academic achievement, leadership development, creativity, collaboration, and physical wellness. Program activities may include:
- Academic enrichment and homework support
- Literacy, reading comprehension, and math enrichment activities
- STEM, science, and project-based learning opportunities
- Arts, creativity, and enrichment projects
- Physical fitness, recreation, and organized sports activities
- Social-emotional learning and positive peer interaction
- Leadership development, teamwork, and collaborative learning experiences
The ELO-P program is intentionally designed to complement the regular school-day program by providing meaningful expanded learning experiences that increase student engagement, participation, attendance, and skill development within a safe and inclusive environment.
Through partnerships with ELEVO and Think Together, students are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen communication and critical-thinking skills, develop positive relationships, and explore new interests through engaging after-school programming aligned with Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) expectations.
